Day of Fun With UCEC
GoRhino was really excited to spend this Saturday at an event hosted by the Umgeni Community Empowerment Centre (UCEC).
UCEC is a registered Non-Profit which offers services ranging from counselling to skills development to those who are in desperate need of social intervention. The organisation works with severely marginalized people such as victims of human trafficking, unemployment, drug addiction, HIV/Aids pandemic, child development needs to mention a few.
UCEC works closely with the Organized Crime Unit, The South African Police Services (SAPS), The Hawks and SANCA, using voluntary teams that give aid to the underprivileged and destitute in 13 needy community sites in KZN
The group hosted their Annual Street Christmas Party for their beneficiaries, closing off the entire street (Mona road) and serving a hot Christmas lunch to all the underprivileged with loads of entertainment and gifts for the kids.
GoRhino was pleased to stop by and support the event, having some fun with the kids. It really was a huge success and a well organised event. If you would like to find out more about this cool organisation, doing amazing things in KZN visit www.ucec.org.za
